The Barber Pole: A Small Piece of History
That spinning red, white and blue sign outside every barbershop carries centuries of trade behind it.
A no-frills barbershop on Lebuh Ah Quee — proper fades, hot towels, and honest, old-school barbering.
Verlarz Classic Barber Shop has called Lebuh Ah Quee home since relocating from its original Sungai Pinang location, continuing a tradition that began in 2003. Walls lined with vintage clippers, straight razors, and photographs tell the story of over two decades in the trade. Nothing rushed, nothing trend-chasing — just proper fades, clean line-ups, and an old-school hot towel shave, delivered the way a barbershop is supposed to feel. Walk-ins welcome, appointments preferred.
Sharp, blended fades cut the traditional way — clippers, scissors, and a steady hand.
A straight-razor shave finished with a hot towel and a classic aftershave balm.
Precision beard trims and line-ups, shaped to suit your face — not a trend.

“We believe a great barbershop is measured in returning customers, not trends. Every chair at Verlarz is a standing appointment with craft, patience, and Lebuh Ah Quee's oldest stories.” The Verlarz Chair
Every cut starts with a proper conversation — what you want, what suits you, and how you want to walk out the door. Whether it's a first visit or a standing weekly appointment, the same care and steady hand go into every chair.

It's more than leather and chrome — a good chair is where the whole ritual of a proper cut begins.
